Broadway Life Center offers classes like English and Employment Network to people in our community. It’s a place for people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures to come and learn skills in one of our Learning Communities. It's a place where friendships blossom, abilities are strengthened, and hope for a more abundant life in Jesus is realized.
Broadway Life Center volunteers and staff want to see you and your children flourish socially, economically, and spiritually in this neighborhood and throughout Salem/Keizer. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about our Learning Communities:
What is a Learning Community?
A Learning Community is a unique educational model that promotes skill acquisition and offers relational support. Learning Communities are designed to increase skills and then apply those skills to each participant's life situation. Experienced teachers focus on building basic skills while caring volunteer tutors and mentors help practice those skills with real-life applications. Many of our Learning Communities offer a free Companion Children’s Program that engages kids in age-appropriate activities and skill development (birth to 5th grade).
Currently, Life Center is Offering the Following Learning Communities:
English Language Learning
Employment Network
ASL for Families
Financial Peace University
Marriage Preparation
